chapter chat (fantastic mr fox)
Hola! My name is Kaylee and welcome to my first chapter chat! The story my class is doing is called Fantastic Mr Fox, by Roald Dahl. You can get to my classmates blogs by going onto one of our pages then clicking on the red words at the bottoms of our introduction. This is my first blog I've ever done. My teacher is the best! Fantastic Mr Fox is quite a popular book so I wont have to explain to much but just for those who haven't read the book its about three farmers called Boggis Bunce and Bean. Boggis is a chicken farmer who only ate boiled chicken and dumplings. He was a fat old fella. Bean was a turkey and apple farmer. His diet was just the apple sider that he made from the apples in his orchard. And Bunce was a goose and duck farmer who ate the worst of them all! Every day he only ate doughnuts stuffed with turkey liver mushed into paste! There was also a family of foxes that lived by the three farmers farms. (which were all lined up next to each other in a row) If we zoomed into the foxes burrow you would find a hungry fox his wife and their naughty kits. as the same as they always did Mr fox asked his wife and kits the same question he did everyday. 'Well, what would you like today hun?'And she would tell him what she wanted. 'ooh, how about two big juicy ducks please. 'One for the children and one for us'.Then he would poke his nose out of his hole, and sniff in all directions for danger ahead. When he was sure everything was safe he would sneak out and over to the three farmers farms and catch them a nice meal. While all of this was happening the farmers were getting even more mad and determined to catch this theif. Finally Bean hatched out a plan to catch this crook. 'Aha, i know how we can get that darn thief!' and Boggis answered with' Really? NONE of your plans ever work. 'Oh be quiet, I swear that this one will be better. Boggis told them the plan and they were having second thoughts about the hole Boggises ideas never work, and Boggises ideas are silly and started to admire his quick thinking. So the next night they all hid around his burrow with guns. This night was a night that Mr fox would NEVER forget. When Mr fox came out of burrow he sniffed around in every direction, crept out a little bit of his body at a time. Just then he thought he heard a little rustle of leaves. He looked around, he couldn't sense anything. 'Hmm, maybe it was just a field mouse' He thought. He pushed his body out some more and....huh? 'What was that? wait... Then he saw something VERY scary, he saw the rounded edge of a gun! He quickly skirted back into his burrow.....BANG BANG! The three farmers looked around before one of them shone a torch were the fox was. 'Did we get it? Did we get it?' Dam! We only got the foxes tail! We should have shot as soon as he came out of that hole!' These farmers were furious by now.' The only thing left to do is dig him up!' said one of them I don't remember which one it was. They grabbed the shovels and got to work. (back with the fox family) 'OUCH!' its OK darling' said Mrs Fox as she licked the stump of what used to be his glorious tail. One by one they all fell asleep, first the children then Mrs fox but Mr fox lay awake unable to sleep. He kept thinking about the farmers and the pain from his bleeding stump of his tail was unbearable! It was soon morning and Mr fox was getting tired. Goodbye thats all im gonna write. Go read the book yourself, my hands hurt.
